Abhyudaya is a practitioner of the Hindu tradition of Advaita (non-dual) Vedānta. As an extension of his practice, he is pursuing a PhD in Religious Studies at the University of Virginia. He works on the philosophy and intellectual history of Hinduism. In particular, he is interested in the intersection of Vedānta, bhakti, and caste, both in the premodern and contemporary periods. His secondary area of specialization is Yogācāra Buddhism. Through all this, Abhyudaya seeks to embody Advaita.
