Bhante Kusala is a Sri Lankan born Theravada Buddhist monk who entered the monastic life at the age of 16 at Gangagiri Vihara in Colombo. Bhante has served as an interfaith chaplain in hospitals and hospice care facilities, and has been a resident monk and meditation teacher at Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center, Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara, and Cambridge Peace House. He is currently based at West End Buddhist Meditation Center in Toronto, Canada.
In addition to his monastic and teaching duties, Bhante Kusala is a poet and writer, as well as serving as a translator for Ajahn Brahm, Ajahn Brahmali, and Bhikkhu Anālayo.
